Welcome to the website of Chess Valley u3a

Operating in and around Chesham in Buckinghamshire, we offer a wide range of activities for those in their ‘third age’, when they are no longer working full time and are able to pursue other interests.

Our members take part in activities ranging from Art to Wildlife, with books, dinghy sailing, French, history and a lot more in between.

Our last talk of 2025 was to have featured Jem Duducu talking about Hollywood. However, he has had to withdraw due to a family issue. Instead, we are very fortunate to have secured a return visit from Emily Yarrow. Members may recall that Emily spoke to us in December 2023 about her efforts to enter The World of Opera. She illustrated her stories about the world of entertainment with a brilliantly-executed repertoire of songs from various genres and we can look forward to more of the same this time around.

The venue for this talk is the Broadway Baptist Church, which is wheelchair-accessible and equipped with a hearing loop, and the meeting starts at 2pm.
