Welcome!

Around Chesham by Lalage Smyth, former member of the Photography with Digital Imaging Group
Welcome to the website of Chess Valley u3a
Operating in and around Chesham in Buckinghamshire, we offer a wide range of activities for those in their ‘third age’, when they are no longer working full time and are able to pursue other interests.
Our members take part in activities ranging from Art to Wildlife, with books, dinghy sailing, French, history and a lot more in between.
Our next Monthly Talk on Thursday 9th October features Sian Bourn telling us about The Dogs Trust. Since 1981, the Dogs Trust has been working for a better future for dogs and for those who love them. When a dog needs a home, the Trust finds them a loving family. When an owner needs a helping hand, or they just can't cope, the Trust steps in. For every dog, and for every owner, the Trust is by their side through thick and thin, throughout their lives. The bond they have is special and changes lives, making each day happier and more complete.
The venue for this meeting is the Broadway Baptist Church in Chesham Broadway, which is wheelchair-accessible and equipped with a hearing loop. The talk starts at 2pm.
We actually have a second talk in October, on Thursday 30th, when Abbey Mitchell will present Tax, Care and Toy Boys. The whimsical title actual covers a very important topic, estate planning, making sure that you have proper arrangements in place to govern the way your estate is managed if you are incapacitated and when you die. The venue is again the Broadway Baptist Church and the meeting starts at 2pm.
If you are not currently a member of Chess Valley u3a and would like to sample a Monthly Talk and learn more about us, please come along and you will receive a warm welcome.
Best wishes
James
