Activities

We are now enjoying our Spring schedule and along with the drying conditions we are enjoying mud free walks. The bluebells are out and there are a multitude of Spring lambs out on the Chilterns. It is a lovely time to enjoy the local scenery and not forgetting the excellent pubs on our doorsteps.

The 'long striders group' have started their summer season of longer outings with walks between 12 and 15 miles. Picnic lunches as part of these walks are such a pleasure in the nicer weather conditions.

Our annual day out is to the Seven Sisters walk (Eastbourne to Seaford) on July 12 and we have already sold 50 seats on the coach. There are various walks along the same stretch of coast and distances vary between 6 and 14 miles depending on your choice of route along this beautiful stretch of coastline. There is also a regular bus service along the route, allowing walkers to choose their preferred distance with the main criteria being a good day out along the coast.

New members are always welcomed at any of our walks, just contact a Convenor if you are interested in joining us.
