Activities

It’s all systems go preparing for our informal end of term concert in July for family and friends.  The programme is wide and varied and calls for a range of singing styles; a challenge which we endeavour to meet but don’t always succeed!

In addition to the planned repertoire some members will be having their own moment of glory performing songs of their choice . Kathryn, our tutor, has some innovative costume and prop ideas in mind for us wear.  These weren’t exactly greeted with overwhelming enthusiasm! Nevertheless, we always enjoy performing and the concerts are entertaining and good fun.

If you enjoy singing and would like to join the us then please contact one of the convenors and come along for a taster. We are a very friendly, supportive group and the weekly sessions are always enjoyable. There is no audition ordeal and although the ability to read music is an advantage it is not essential.  Many members learn the songs by rote. The emphasis is on the benefit and enjoyment of singing.

We meet at Amersham Free Church every Monday during term time from 5.30 p.m. to 7.00 p.m.

There is a termly charge for tuition and accompanist fees. Please contact the convenors if you're interested. We are a very friendly group and the emphasis is on the pleasure and benefits of singing.
