Activities

The patchwork and quilting group meets on the first and third Wednesdays of the month except for August.

On the first Wednesday morning from 9.30am until 12 noon we are at the house of the convenor in Hyde Heath showing each other our work, asking for advice, borrowing library books and enjoying a chat over coffee.

On the third Wednesday we are in Hyde Heath village hall sewing from 9.30am until 3.30pm.

At our sewing meetings we try to invite a tutor two or three times a year to give us new ideas. For most of the time members work on their own projects but occasionally someone will suggest a topic and invite others to work to the same theme.

Reluctantly it has proved necessary to close the membership list in January 2017 but please contact the convenor to be put on the waiting list. If sufficient interest arises it may be possible to start a second group.

Please email or telephone the convenor for further information. Experience of sewing but not necessarily patchwork is an advantage as is the possession of and familiarity with a sewing machine.
